Strip Mall Foodie is Orlando newcomer Melissa Braverman’s exploration of the city’s unexpected culinary gems.

A New York native, Melissa moved to The City Beautiful after marrying her Florida-born husband (and fellow foodie) Steve. She credits her beloved dad with introducing her to the joys of a great meal, be at a greasy spoon diner or dazzling five-star restaurant.

In addition to food, Melissa’s other long-standing love affair has been with the written word. A published author and long-time blogger, she has been keeping a diary since the age of 7. She is currently on handwritten volume #110. Her book Notes from A Single Gal In The City: On Dating & Mating, has a five-star rating on Amazon.

In her day job, Melissa is an award-winning hotel marketing pro. She is always looking for her next foodie or travel adventure.
